Event That Will Lead to Goku’s Limit Breaker

We’re in the Tournament of Power arc in Dragon Ball Super, where every universe is at the risk of getting eliminated, if all of their members get knocked out. For our Universe 7, things don’t look as bad right now, because they have plenty of able fighters left, with Goku being one of them. Goku has not been using his real powers right now, as he’s trying to save it for when the time is right.

However, he will soon be facing many powerful opponents, who will force him to go blue. One of the those opponents I’d obviously Jiren.

It has been announced that Goku vs Jiren will begin on October 8th, so until then, Goku would still be a part of the tournament. The most important thing to notice here is that Goku will also be revealing his new form on that very day.

If you remember, the info we got on his new form, it said “Something terrible will happen”, and that’s what will trigger Goku to go ahead and use this new power that he has.

So, many fans have speculated what this “Terrible thing” could be, but of course, it’s hard to make a guess. To me, it seems to be related to death. Somebody dies.

But, wait, killing is not allowed in the Tournament of Power, right? Well, no it is not allowed. However, what if Zeno sama were to allow killing during the Tournament? How would that affect the rest of the fighters?

I’d say not in a good way. This is because we have fighters like Hit, Frieza, Frost, and many more who would relish this opportunity.

If they’re allowed to kill, and they go on a rampage, that would certainly qualify as “Something Terrible”, would it not? I’d say someone important to Goku died, and that’s what triggers his new form.

That’s exactly what the description said. Goku doesn’t have this form ready or anything. Something terrible happens and that’s why he is able to transform.

So, to me, it would make sense if Goku were to enter this form because of the death of someone close to him. Obviously this is Dragon Ball, so dead characters usually come back. But for the sake of it, Goku needs to unlock his full powers. The Limit Breaker form can only be unlocked once Goku has a trauma, much like he did back at Namek, when Krillin was dead.
